Maya Petrova has been the Managing Partner of Letefico Law Firm since October 2019. For more than 20 years Maya has been advising Russian and foreign companies on investment activities, development projects (greenfield and brownfield), real estate, transactions to attract project financing, including security obligations. Her area of competence also includes customer support on legal aspects of urban planning regulation, design, construction, commissioning and management of real estate, as well as interaction with government agencies during administrative procedures related to development and construction. She also carries out structuring of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, their support before closing, as well as conducting legal expertise.

Currently, Maya is actively developing the direction of legal assistance to projects in the field of culture and art, advises art market participants on copyright issues, import/export of cultural property, transactions with art objects, related taxation issues, customs procedures, etc.

In addition, Maya represents clients’ interests in arbitration courts, courts of general jurisdiction and commercial arbitration, acts as an expert in international arbitration processes.
